Making Friends

Hello! :3 This is SilverDawn, and I thought we might post, as well as lessons, advice on stuff like making friends. :)

Who to make friends with...

Things you want to see in a friend are friendliness, loyalty, and share of your interests. For instance, if there was somebody who was very nice but into completely different stuff to me, then they would not be the best person for me to make friends with.
Now, there's something I need to get straight. You can be friendly with people who do not share your interests, but you cannot be firm friends with them.
Things you don't want to see in a friend are; disloyalty and thinking they are better than you in general.

What a good friend is...
  
A good friend will always stick by your side, remember you and keep being friends with you if you move away, stick up for you when others are mean to you, and have the ability to have fun and laugh with you. And you must do these things and be these things to your friends, too. 

How to start at being friends with someone...
  
  Imagining you are staying in the same place as someone who you notice qualifies Who to make friends with. How do you start at being friends with them?
It can all start by you saying hello (imagining they haven't). You mustn't let the fact that they haven't spoken stop you from speaking to them. You can start a lifelong friendship by simply saying "Hello. Do you want  to play with me?". They're most likely going to say yes, but if they say they are busy right then you can try again later. And if they say no because they simply don't want to, then they wouldn't make the best friend anyway. Once you've started doing things together, you should exchange email addresses (if you're only on holiday in the same place). That way, you can keep in touch!

Friendship

Hi!  Leafa here with a post on Friendship.  This has been mentioned in many posts, but I thought I'd write a post with the official topic of friendship ^.^ If that makes any sense...

I hope you don't mind, FrostWolf, but I'm going to borrow your quote:

Friendship is where you have deep respect and good will towards another--it's hard to explain; you might have respect and good will towards an acquaintance, but with a true friend you should feel compassion, respect and good will.  You should expect the best from your friend and give them your best.  If they don't fulfill your standards--you decide what happens: a) Don't become friends with them (but that's rather for extreme cases) b) Help them reach your standards c) Leave them the way they are. 

You should be respectful and kind to your friends; and acquaintances/strangers too, of course.  But let's not veer off the topic, shall we?

You need to be worth your friend's friendship.  It doesn't matter if you can't give them presents for their birthday or Christmas.  It doesn't matter that they didn't send you a gift.  If you're really friends, it doesn't depend on material matters like gift-giving.

Also, you should be truthful at all times to your friend--unless it will cause something harmful.  Take a look at this post on Truth by me.  Your friend won't like it if you don't trust them enough to tell the truth; and in return, would you like it if your friend lied to you? 

All of this is true in vice versa.  Your friend should expect the best from you and give you their all; should be respectful, kind, and truthful.

This is Leafa, posting on Respect.  I noticed the label Respect in the "Lessons" spot and clicked on it.  FrostWolf has "Respecting Nature" down, but I think I'll post on the value of respect itself.

Respect is where you honor somebody, like I honor their opinions can be transformed to "I respect their opinions."  Of course, honor is different, like a higher, more intense level of respect, but they're similar.

Respect is an excellent thing.  Having respect for another's values and traditions will win your traditions respect from that person.  It is good to respect your parents, the rest of your family, extended family, friends, teachers, and elders.  If you have respect for your teachers, you're more likely to win their good will and that good will can give you better education because the teacher will like you.  You should have respect for your elders because they are far wiser and more knowledgeable than you.

Have respect for your parents because they a) clothe you b) feed you c) educate you d) birthed you
e) they love you f) they respect you g) they give you presents h) they take you on trips i) they give you a home j) they let you go on the Internet and see this lesson k) they teach you manners l) they teach you respect m) they work hard to get money so you don't go into the poorhouse n) they try to ensure you have friends  o) they do some of your chores  p) they get a ton of luxuries for you q) they understand you r) they stand you.  The list goes to z and beyond that.

Respect your siblings, also.  If you don't respect them, it's not likely they will respect you, and thus you're more likely to be called names and be teased by them.

Have respect for your friends because they have deigned to be friends with you.  But I used deigned figuratively, because if they deigned to be friends they're probably not going to be the best friends xD.  But if those friends are nice, you ought to respect them and their values.  If they have peculiar traditions, respect those, too.

And, of course, have respect for your extended family because they are your family, and your parents want you to respect them.  Also, your extended family will want to like you and will want to respect you; if, of course, you like and respect them.

Anger and saying sorry

Hello! SilverDawn here! ^.^ (At last...)

I thought I'd do a post on anger. Everyone loses their temper sometimes, though, of course, some do it more than others. One thing I noticed through my own experience, is that the people who lose their temper more are usually better at saying sorry than those who don't. You can see that there is ups and downs for both things. People who do have a hot temper are (generally) less sulky and better at saying sorry, and people who don't have a hot temper are usually more sulky and worse at saying sorry. So, what you have to try and do is conquer the downs and keep the ups! ;D

A bit more about me and friendship

Hi guys, today im going to talk about friendship and a bit more about myself. I really liked the way ilovemypets8 did her introduction so if you dont mind i will do that kinda thing just for today. Im really not trying to be a copy cat, sorry if it looks like it.

I also love dancing, singing but im quite shy. I also LOVE books, one of them is the Hunger games. P.s. Who thinks Peeta rules, i do. hee hee :)

Know for the friendship part

In my opinion friendship can not be forced in anyway, it always come slow and natural, but sometimes i think there are little rules to friendship that maybe just your friends have.So you know things like never tell each other a lie or always stand up for each other, that kinda stuff , but it honestly depends on you and your friends. The thing i love about friends and friendship or maybe other people like about it is that all friendships or friends are different and have different personality's. Remember, your friends are always there for you and to listen to you. :)
